Background

Finn grew up on this half cruise ship it seems. He was always a bit of a loner. When he was a teen he met Jamie, who quickly became one of his closest friends. They went everywhere together and not one big task went without the two being seen together. Unfortunately, one night, Jamie wasn’t there where they always met. So Finn decided to go look for Jamie. He found him and Sable in a heated discussion over a bag. From the sounds of it there was some pretty wholesome food in that bag. Fists were raised. Knives were drawn. Discussions continued. At one time the discussion died off a bit and Finn remembers this vividly, as if time slowed. Jamie put away his knife, gave a sudden jank on the strap of what was clearly his bag and sprinted away. Sable put his knife in the way of Jamie’s sudden move and stabbed him right in his gut. Jamie died on the spot with Sable raising his hands and making all kinds of excuses. In the meantime walking off with Jamie’s bag! Finn was devastated. He went to his friend but there was nothing he could do. He knew that it wasn’t an accident, though everyone seems to believe so. He just couldn’t prove it.

Finn was lost and didn’t know what to do. That’s when he met Flux, a husky puppy who was wandering the wasteland, unlike most other pups, alone. Finn took Flux under his wing and the two quickly became inseparable. Flux became Finn’s constant companion and source of comfort during difficult times. At first, Flux was a bit of a handful. He was always getting into trouble and causing mischief. But Finn was patient with him, and over time, they developed a deep bond. Flux became Finn’s constant companion, following him wherever he went and protecting him from danger

Lincoln and Finn met around the same time that Finn met Flux. But where a fresh pup is good for cuddling and dumping your worries on without getting talked back to, Finn needed to share his loss and feeling lost. Lincoln had also lost someone close to him and on this one “night to be” they met and got talking. They managed to pick each other up, being an ear for one another’s worry and feelings of revenge and giving words of consolidation or firm “get yourself together” talk when needed. Lincoln and Finn bonded over their shared grief and formed an inseparable bond from then on.

Despite his success on getting from day to day, Finn never forgot about Jamie. He was determined to find out the truth about her death and bring her killer to justice. A public confession of Sable stating his intentions would be his goal from now on. With Flux by his side and Lincoln’s emotional support, he set out on a dangerous quest to uncover this truth.
