1 - We meet again Witchlight carnival

Ashira and me are roaming the streets of Waterdeep as all of a sudden a scruffy street urchin runs up to us handing us both a small piece of paper. It's personal note from a Madryck Roslov. Apparently he's aware of the thing we lost years ago at the carnival. And we are to meet him a few days from now during the full moon at his farm near Triboar. Curious how this stranger knows about this we decide to travel there.
After the few day journey we arrive at a pumpkin farm. Zephyr pops up from behind one of the huge pumpkins which line the fields, calling out to us in recognition. A very big scaly guy with a big shield a club also approaches the thatched roof hut. He clearly is on a mission to get here as he's not really interested (yet?) to get to know us. At around midnight I hit the doorbell with my quarterstaff, eager to meet Madryck. Zephyr keeps knocking on the door. From inside we hear somebody calling out 'Yeah yeah,...'.
We're invited inside and offered a nice pumpkin spiced tea. We do a round of introductions and learn the big scaly guy's name is Frostbite. As Madryck is preparing the tea, we hear knocking again at the door. I quickly rush to open it, curious who more has been invited. A very pretty elf dressed in colorful garb by the name of Maeve apparently also received a similar note.
Madryck returns with the tea and starts his story. He knows about our missing thing and explains we could get it back by going to the Feywild, a parallel world. I try to explain this concept to Frostbite as he seems to be struggling somewhat with these complicated concepts. Madryck meanwhile goes on with his story, that he learned about us via Zybilna, who apparently lives in the Feywild. He hasn't heard from her lately though. As he tells about her, I get flashbacks to stories told by my parents. She really resembles my maternity nurse. What a weird coincidence! The others also look to be in thought for a slight moment when Madryck gives her description.
Then he starts to explain that we should visit the Witchlight Carnival and find the portal to the Feywild there. It will take place in a few days from now in the Neverwinter Woods. To find the portal we should talk to the two Carnival owners: Mister Light and mister Witch. And we definitely shouldn't try to sneak in again, but just buy tickets this time round. He even offers to pay the entrance fee, but I quickly explain that we have enough money. some do accept his offer though. As we ask for more details on the exact location in the woods, Madryck explains about a fork in a river. I pull out my map case, which sparks some interest from Frostbite, but when he sees mostly city and sea maps his interest wanes somewhat. But I'm glad to learn that he does have a good idea where to go to find the Carnival. He even offers to bring us there for a small fee as he turns out to be a travel guide of sorts.
We say our goodbye's to Madryck and make way towards the woods, but not before some enquired if he would have some rewards waiting for us if we manage to find Zybilna. After a two day travel, by the end of the day we reach the spot where the Carnival should take place, but no signs of it so be seen as of yet. But then all of a sudden win the sky we see various winged creatures pulling carts. They land close to us and start setting up while a walking tree is urging the regular trees here to make way, creating a big clear area. This area is than enclosed with a long blue ribbon which magically turns into a moat. A ticket booth is set up at the end of a bridge crossing the moat.
Eager to enter the carnival and find the portal I run up to the booth and jump up and down trying the get the tickets sellers attention. He explains that our tickets have all been paid for. A weird but nice surprise! We get colorful wings to wear on our backs, mine are green! And AShira even makes mine flutter. Unfortunately I still can't fly.
Entering the Carnival grounds this brings back all the memories of the Carnival years ago. AS we're looking for a portal and for the owners we decide to try our luck at the 'Lost & Found'. There a displacer beast Dirla explains she can't help us with missing persons. She only has lost stuff. Like a glass ball as a kid points out. Dirla let's out a big growl at the kid, who darts of scared. I quickly chase him, hoping he can tell me where to find the owners. Viro, the kid, tell me we should visit the Big Top, the huge circus tent.
meanwhile the others learn that Dirla was upset when it comes to the large glass ball, as that was Stars favorite toy. She was her welp who somehow got lost at the Carnival years ago. Frostbite figures that the only way she could have gone is through the portal. Dirla asks us if we could keep an eye out for her when we manage to enter the portal. We even get to take the glass ball.
We now all head towards Big Top, passing a Caliope. A monkey is turning the wheel, producing music, while a goblin dressed up as a ladybug is rattling a small brass container, asking for buttons. Some of us can spare a button.
Finally we reach Big Top and go inside. There a few performers are practicing their routine. Maeves eyes really light up, seeing fellow artists at work. We go through the back entrance in an attempt to get into the staff area. But we're stopped by two somewhat intoxicated guards. They tell us we aren't allowed to enter that area. Maeve explains she'd like to perform though, but the guards tell her that near the end of the official show there will be an open podium where she can do her thing. We also learn it will be a lot easier to get to speak to the owners if everybody at the carnival is having a good time. So perhaps we should just do that and have a good time.
Of to the first attraction than, the Bubble-Top Teapot. We see people entering the teapot via a side door and popping out of the spout in a large bubble floating across the carnival grounds. I want to try this!
