In the bustling city of Waterdeep, Frostbite's silver scales gleamed under the setting sun, a stark contrast to the vibrant chaos around him. For the first time in his life, he felt like an outcast. The sheer magnitude of the city, with its towering buildings and endless sea of people, made him long for the familiar embrace of the wilderness. Just as he contemplated retreating, a cloaked figure approached him, thrusting a sealed envelope into his hand. The stranger vanished into the crowd before Frostbite could protest.

Unfolding the message, Frostbite read the words with growing curiosity. It was from a mysterious figure named Madryck, who claimed to know about his lost artistic creativity. Madryck invited him to his home in Triboar, a city seven days north of Waterdeep. Though hesitant, the promise of regaining his lost talent spurred Frostbite into action.

The journey to Triboar was marked by serene landscapes and quaint villages. Along the way, Frostbite's thoughts drifted back to his childhood in Drakestone. He remembered the countless hours spent with his father, a master woodcarver, and his mother, a skilled painter. Their home was a sanctuary of artistry, filled with the scent of freshly carved wood and vibrant splashes of paint. But those days were long gone, replaced by years of wandering and guiding travelers through treacherous terrains.

As he approached Triboar, Frostbite's anxiety grew. The quaint town was a stark contrast to Waterdeep, but it still felt foreign. At the edge of a vast pumpkin field stood Madryck's hut, a cozy structure that exuded a peculiar charm. Outside, Frostbite encountered an odd assembly: Brolin, a jovial, oversized bunny who spoke with an infectious enthusiasm; a stern Tiefling dressed in somber black; and a fairy whose wings shimmered with a kaleidoscope of colors, topped off with a miniature top hat.

The hut's door was locked, and after some confusion with the doorbell—courtesy of Brolin's incessant jumping and the fairy's persistent knocking—a voice from within beckoned them inside. Madryck, an enigmatic old man clad in black, greeted them with warmth and offered pumpkin tea. As they settled in, the doorbell rang again. Brolin eagerly opened it to reveal Maeve, a Moon Elf with an air of mystery.

Over tea, Madryck shared his insights. He spoke of the Feywild, a parallel world where their lost talents and qualities could be restored. Frostbite struggled to grasp the concept of a parallel world, his mind conjuring images of two fingers pointing upward. Madryck mentioned Ziybilina, an archfey who had once cured Frostbite's childhood illness. Her striking appearance—black dress, pointy ears, hair cascading to her ankles, and a tattoo of a chickenfoot below her eye—was seared into his memory.

To access the Feywild, they needed to find the carnival that had stolen Frostbite's artistic touch sixteen years ago. This carnival, Madryck revealed, would appear in Neverwinter Woods in two days. Despite his reluctance to trust strangers, Frostbite agreed to lead the group to the carnival, testing their willingness to pay for his guidance. Only Brolin and Maeve offered to pay, solidifying their commitment.

As they journeyed to Neverwinter Woods, Frostbite felt a sense of camaraderie forming. Brolin's cheerful banter lightened the mood, while Maeve's presence provided insight in untold stories. The Tiefling and the fairy remained enigmatic, adding a layer of intrigue to their company.

Two days later, as nightfall approached, the sky tore open, revealing a procession of fantastical wagons. Pulled by an array of winged creatures, these wagons descended gracefully, their wings dissolving into the ether as they landed. The carnival quickly took shape, with a walking tree coaxing its brethren to create a spacious clearing. A ribbon encircled the area, transforming into a shimmering moat that marked the carnival's boundary.

Madryck's tickets granted them entry, and they were cautioned against causing trouble. Frostbite's mind was set on finding the portal to the Feywild. Time to find Mr. Witch and Mr. Light, the carnival's owners, they could perchance provide answers.

Their first stop was the big top tent. Inside, they found a Tiefling rehearsing a mesmerizing performance and a goblin perfecting his juggling skills. Entranced by the Tiefling's grace, Frostbite watched in awe, his mind momentarily forgetting their mission. When the performance ended, the group realized they had gleaned no useful information and decided to press on.

Next, they encountered a giant teapot adorned with dragon motifs. Visitors entered through a door and exited via the teapot's spout, encased in bubbles that floated away. The sight was baffling, yet it highlighted the carnival's enchanting nature.
