- Shipbuilder met goed idee voor nieuw schip waarmee we verder zouden moeten kunnen gaan.
- Broer van Gunnleif (Marcel)
- Ouders overleden op een gezonken schip. In tegenstelling tot Gunnleif daardoor geinspireerd dat schepen en eigenlijk alles beter moet en kan.
- Bevriend met Olvir. Samen zijn ze geïnteresseerd in het verkennen van de wereld. Ze zijn een keer in een concurrerend dorp gesneakt om de boten uit te checken. Daarbij zijn ze gepakt en uiteindelijk vrij gepleit door Asfrid.
- Ook bevriend met Groa. Hij moedigt haar aan om als vrouw mee te gaan met de raid.
- Zijn broer, Gunnleif heeft een visioen gehad dat er over de zee een land van rijkdommen te vinden is. Trygve is daardoor geïnspireerd. Hij heeft sowieso een rotsvast vertrouwen in de goden dat het goedkomt.
Story
Trygve mostly spends his days working on commissioned ships together with the master builder. He sneaks his own innovative ideas in and here and there he finds time to work on his own designed ship. Evenings he spends with friends like Olvir & Groa dreaming up wild plans for exploring new lands. Trygve has a very firm belief in the gods. They have pre-ordained the time he is going to die, but the rest of his life is free to choose what he does. He feels their support in everything and feels they have a plan for him. As a seafarer he respects Njord the most. He is the wind in his sails. Trygve knows nothing about Christianity. Trtygve's most important reason to raid is to find new things and prove that his ships can go far.
