Who wields the sceptre?

8th of March, 1933 - Telegram for Mr. Laisley
As I was driving home from town, after spending the whole morning helping Ms. Surefire painting her white
picket fence, I noticed a brown enevelope in the mailbox. I took it inside and careful as ever, I put up a
kettle to steam open the envelope. It turned out to contain a telegram.
Sounds like a new mission for the project, perhaps that's also the reason for Mike's absense?
9th of March, 1933 - The assignment
I took the usual route to New York, parked my pickup in the garage beneath the Empire State building and took
the elevator to the 27th floor, where our cover up company resides: Black Real Estate. The other operatives of
our team were also there, gathered in the hallway. I'm curious what we're after this time.
Maureen tells us she has to look after some egyptian sceptre in the Brooklyn museum. And just as she called
on us to help her out, it was stolen. The newspapers already had an article on the subject although that was
merely based on speculations.
Cristopher asked how Maureen knew what had happened, and she came up with the name of Justin Prescot who as a
friends of hers, had told her about the stolen sceptre.
Tom proposes to get some official paperwork at the Bureau of Investigation so we can snoop around freely in
the museum. And as soon as he has convinced his chief we finally head of to investigate.
Brooklyn Museum
As we arrive at the museum, most head of via the main entrance to try and see if they can get to the crime scene.
I on the other hand walk around the building in search of a service entrance, perhaps I can use my instant
functionary skill to gain access as an employee of the cleaning company. A museum guard opens the service entrance
and asks for my id. Of course I haven't got one, nor did I bring a broom... But a dim witted reply later he's
gone to get me a uniform for the Kidham Cleaning company, along with a bucket and mop. He told me his name is
Toby Kettle, but when I ask him about the large bandaid on his forehead he tells me to get to work
The Egyptian wing
On my way to the Roman section I bump into the rest of the team as they're investigating the crime scene.
When I've made sure no strangers are close I ask if they've gathered some information yet. Tom shows me a white
cotton thread which he compares to a my cleaning uniform. They clearly don't match up. It must've been from the
thief.
The rest explain to me how they got to search the crime scene for clues. Tom has alreday deducted the thief hid
in the sracophagus. And then when the museum was closed got out and took the sceptre and ran of via the backdoor.
