William "One-Eye" Wiggins
|
For th' cowards!
Tale o' our buccanneer
William "One-Eye" Wiggins be born in a wee coastal town in th' Carribean. His father be a seafarin' hearty an' he almost neresaw th' lad's. Th' last time he saw th' lad's be when William be 8 voyages old. Now he jus' assumes that he be Davy Jones' locker.
At th' age o' 14 he joined a seafarin' hearty ship that visited his town,
called th' Unforgivin', together wi' an older matey o' th' lad's, 'Th' name
that wil nay be spake' Redfeather. 'Th' name that wil nay be spake' told
One-Eye's mother that he would take care o' William, an' would make sure
One-Eye be safe. 3 voyage later 'Th' name that wil nay be spake' duelled th'
captain o' th' Unforgivin' an' won. Since then 'tis Captain Redfeather fer
most o' th' crew.
William has served Captain Redfeather fer 11 voyages now, an' they had many (weird) adventures. Like th' time when they met this seafarin' hearty, yeller belly as hell, but somehow he can be seein' things in th' distance e'en before they be in sight, an' since he joined th' crew, they had a lot more wind in the'r aft. Or when they saw this red creature jus' below th' water, an' th' water started t' boil an' steam appeared. Or when they destroyed that english ship wi' th' help o' some other seafarin' heartys, an' one o' th' soldiers decided t' join them. He can shoot an eye ou' o' a bird wi' that gun o' th' lad's. Or that time when frogs fell ou' o' th' air an' exploded when they landed. Or th' time that we met this very big cook, that could transform an old half rotten food supply into these delicious meals (jus' ignore his talkin' about isles, arrr visitin' our house). Behind th' lad's this wee boy, once a slave, that now tries t' become a seafarin' hearty. Half o' th' time One-Eye dasn't e'en be seein' th' lad's while he's sure he be around. Or th' time that they saw that ghost ship swashbuckle this enormous sea dragon. An' then recently, this good lookin' lass demanded that she joined them on the'r ship. She can parry cannonballs wi' here rapier. Nerehas William seen a lass so good wi' a weapon.
One-Eye likes th' captain, an' loves t' drink rum wi' th' lad's an' gamble a wee. An' somehow 't also feels good t' be havin' these weird shipmates around th' lad's. Nay that thar be much that William would describe as weird or that could suprise th' lad's. He has seen 't all.
How a gentleman o' fortune looks
This seadog has brown hair, a brown mustache an' a wee beard. He lost his starboard eye on accoun' o' 't be hit by a bullet when they be fightin' th' english. 'Tis now replaced by a glass eye. He looks very skinny an' dasn't eat much. An' some swabbies would discribe th' lad's as 'ugly', also on accoun' o' he has a lot o' scars on his body an' misses some teeth. He wears some old clothes an' firm leather boots. On his head a yellow bandana wi' black spots on 't at which he be very proud. Th' captain gave 't t' th' lad's once. He spake 't would brin' th' lad's luck. On his belt ye can find a shinin' cutlass, a pistol, a knife an' a wee dagger.
