Sacrifices

19th day of the 3rd Moon. Year of the Runeforge.
So did I already mention we were caught in this chamber? If not; we were... Some went to check of there was a way to open the secret door, but it wouldn't budge.
Based on the layout of the room, the whispers and the gutters I concluded that we'd have to get some blood flowing to trigger some kind of mechanism which hopefully would let us out of here. So I lay down oin the altar and start some magical abuse. Eventually I pass out from the constant pain while my blood start flowing. The others however decided it wasn't my time yet and revived me.
As the took me down freom the altar, all of a sudden Zebediah grabs the ceremonial dagger, jumps on the altar and commits suicide in a very bloody fashion. The blood starts gushing through the gutters, eventually flowing into the wall. After a while the wall starts to open up.
From the area where the wall opened up in to we hear a constant hammering. On a somewhat closer inspection we find a huge golem hammering away at the red crystals which are lying around in the cave. He then gathers the red crystal dust in large barrels.
Before we can check this out any further we're startled by some weird grunting coming from the altar room. We hurry back and are facing a human sized skeleton slowly rising to its feet. It seems to be the corpse I shoved of the altar so I could lie on it.
At first we assume the skeleton is evil and attack it, but then we notice it's wearing a guild tabard. Its also moaning something about not wanting to be hurt and not meaning any harm. Not too convinced, but too much in shock we stop attacking it and ask what it is about. Turns out this is the famous Tog from the guild Hall of Fame, a well known and feared barbarian and one of the biggest brawlers in the guild.
We tell us what we're doing here and it turns out he and his adventuring party also went here to get the forever stone, but that was ages ago. He's eager to join us in our quest to find the stone.
With our newly acquired party member we start investigating the red crystal cave. At the back there seems to be a large boulder blocking the entrance to the next area. Laucian had the very bright idea to use the mine ownership document to convince the golem he had to obey us and move the stone. This worked! so now we could safely walk past the golem into the next room, which was fille3d with insect and bats, yuck!
I climb on Tog's back so I don't have get my silk slippers dirty by walking through the crap on the floor. We start investigating this room and eventually notice a big black sack like object hanging from the ceiling. Eventually as we approach it, it comes to live and turns out to be a giant bat. As it's too late to run away, we engage to kill.
