Introduction
So there i’m sitting in the plane. Up to Miami! Really looking forward to
see my friend Diego again. It has been 3 years ago when i saw him last time
when he visited me and my family in Manaus. I get a drink from Isabel, the stewardess, and
after that i decide to take a nap. I awakened by a lot of people talking
and muttering. The fasten your seatbelts lights are turned on, so i
quickly tighten them. A lot happened next, first we the plane turns, then
it starts to drop and people start screaming and panicking. The last thing
i hear i Isabel talking over the intercom “Everybody please remain calm.
Pull your knees up to your chest and put your head in between them. Cover
your head with both hands.”. It quickly do that, pray and wait. Then all
the deafening and indescribable noise fades away, and it goes silent.

Act 1, Scene 2 - Back of the plane
not there
Act 1, Scene 3 - Looking for survivors
I open my eyes and look around. It’s dark and I hear people moaning. It
looks bad, *very* bad. I start to check if others are alive by the little
light from some emergency lights. Then the cockpit door opens and the
stewardess Isabel appears. She also looks shocked, same as all of us. But
together we decide to look for more survivors. I explain her that i’m a
firefighter, and i see a sigh of relief on her face knowing that. I also
notice the smell of kerosene and some loose electrical wires sparkling. The
plane has been crushed into 2 pieces, the back part with the wings is lying
20 meters further back. Still i continue the search for survivors and know
i have to hurry.
Act 1, Scene 4 - Celebrity on board
not there
Act 1, Scene 5 - Explosion at the front
While looking for survivors I hear a moaning sound. It sounds like a
child, and turns out to be a girl about the age of my own daughter. She has
some wounds, but nothing too bad. It’s mostly her leg that hurts, and it
seems stuck under the chair in front of her. First I try to calm here and then
I start pushing the chair
away. It won’t move an inch. I start looking for something that i can
use as a lever. Then i see one of the pilots. He also came from the
cockpit and is carrying an axe. I quickly ask for it, and while i try to
free the girl i tell the others to leave the plane, because i see in the
corner of an eye that the plan already started to burn. When the chair
still doesn’t move i started to slightly panic, and start hitting the chair
with the axe. But a metal axe on a metal chair doesn’t do much, and soon
fire is all around me. I know i can’t free her, and to save her from
burning alive, i do what I never wanted to do in my life... I leave the
bloodied axe behind and run through the fire out of the plane.
Act 2, Scene 1 - Clearing out the back of the plane
Before it really got through to me what just happened, Eduardo, Isabel
and me went to the back part of the airplane to check for survivors. There
were some American girls whose jibber jabber was hard to follow, and a
muscular guy with his shirt torn apart carrying some woman. I decided to
focus on checking the rest of the plane for more survivors.
Act 2, Scene 2 - Ouch!
After we found no other survivors Eduardo and me start looking at the
food carts in the back. While i was still looking what else there was,
Eduardo pushed a cart down the lane. Some of the americans were standing in
it’s path and ouch, one of the girls got hit by it it.
Act 2, Scene 3 - Flee this way!
Meanwhile I see there is a kerosene trail from the front to the back part
of the plane. And it starts catching fire. I run towards it and try to put
out the fire with wet mud from the ground. While attempting it my left hand got
covered in kerosene, and before i know it it catches fire!
Act 2, Scene 4 - Gathering in the jungle
not there
Act 2, Scene 5 - BOOOOOOOM!
First thing i do is put out the fire on my hand. While it hurts i see the
trail of fire going towards the wing of the plane, where the gas tanks are.
Meanwhile Eduardo is still catching food from the plane. The rest of the
survivors are nowhere to be seen. I run towards Eduardo, pull him away from
it and yell that we should run! Together we run and soon we feel the heat
and explosion from behind and we jump behind a tree trunk.
