Whole lot of nothings
Day Of Awakening
In a panic Jasmin, Joris and I contacted the medical bay, asking what the explosions could signify and what we should do. We agreed that the trois of us would find shelter in one of the vehicles in the medical bay. Mr. Van Maelsaeke, Knut et Rusty would come to us.
Once the men arrive, Joris choose to move to their vehicle. I guessed that he wanted to be near Mr. Van Maelsaeke? The guys opened the loading door in front of their vehicle, but after sliding open halfway, it got stuck. Our cargo door, however, didn't open at all. Our sensors, however, noted that outside was a vacuum now! I wasn't sure about the plan then, and when I reflect upon it, it still doesn't make sense.
During all this mister Morrison contacted us from the comms-room. He would keep a channel open with us for most of the following events.
On directions of Rusty, Jasmin and I overrode the controls of our "car", which was actually more of a caterpillar or a tank. Jasmin took the "steering wheel" and got us, mostly undamaged, in a separate hall. The door closed behind us, and we were out of the vacuum. But the guys were still stuck outside...
After while, Rusty asked if we can move aside (we could) and if we can see if their voiture énorme would fit through the door. Well, we didn't think so, mostly because it had very large wheels and tires.
Jayden contacted us at this point. He was in a panic, screaming that "something" was there. He would move towards the medical bay, trying to evade the "something". Weird!
The men tried to shred their tires but it wasn't not working very well. Before they damaged our hall with their attempted, we could first move out of our little tank, into a separate room.
We had a conference call with the men, Morrison and the CEO. Morrison was in the warming up room and had a small gun pointed at the CEO! Wild accusation flew about, but I have to agree with the sujet that the CEO was hiding something. I tried to calm them both, but I failed. Morrison shot twice at his quarry but missed. Morgenberg fled.
Jasmin and I were feeling rather helpless since we can't go upstairs, nor could we help the men. The latter finally managed to get their car into the hall and themselves safe. We decided to go upstairs, while Rusty would stay behind and brave the vacuum once more. It's about half past ten in the evening by now and I'm getting very tired, but I forced myself on.
I'm still unclear what the android actually did, but he explored a large part of the ship downstairs and repaired some parts.
Jasmin and I kept searching for Morgenberg et Morrison, to no avail. We wound up in the communications room, with Mr. Van Maelsaeke. Rusty ordered us to do some scans, and in the end Rusty restarted the fuel purification process. That turned out to be unneeded since we had enough fuel.
While scanning, we notice that the Ada Lovelace was flying away from us. We also got an incoming call from Abigail. I'm not making this up, but she had gotten herself into the fourth vehicle and had launched it into space, thinking to get to the Ada. Totalement fou!!
(Joris came barging in and complained about stuff missing from his locker, but we ignored him, what with the crazy woman floating in space and all.)
I frantically searched for the control pad that I had seen Abigail work with. I finally obtained it from Morrison, who seemed to have calmed down a bit. Unfortunately, the control panel didn't work and the ship kept moving.
Further investigation showed that we were moving towards the nearest star, on a course parallel with the Ada Lovelace. Of course, Abigail's "spacecraft" didn't have any thrust and we quickly overtook here...
