Waking up
Last I remember was a stinging pain, next I wake up on the bench of our car. Looking out the window I see the car is parked somewhere in the forest, with a clearing to my left, about 20 yards away. Nobody else is inside the car so when it all of a sudden starts moving by itself it startles me for quite a bit.
I check the controls via my chip but get an access denied. I can't find a kill-switch neither so my best bet would be to hide beneath the bench, hoping I won't get noticed. As the car reaches the clearing I'm hidden beneath the bench, in between the bags and other stuff my teammates left behind.
After a few seconds the car comes to an abrupt halt and starts moving downwards. As that happens I hear a loud clunk of metal on metal on the roof. I grab my Taser in my bag en flip the safety switch. The car goes dark as the "elevator" closes and after a while everything goes bright again. I hear more metal scratchy noises and a few seconds later I hear Rusty landing on his feet as he jumps of the car where he apparently jumped on top of.
I hear him discussing the situation with the same voice which came from the floating orb. I wonder if he now actually wants to meet us in person. Then I overhear them discussing the fact that I'm hiding in the car and I decide it's in my best interest to get out of the car so I can hear the conversation better.
Once I'm outside of the car I see a group of American looking people talking to Rusty. He's discussing with the group what's going on here.
During the discussion both Knut's and Manon-Therese's body are floated in by the evil orb of zap. Once the small orb is a good distance away from the bodies I go and check them out if they're still alright. A quick examination shows they luckily are.
Failed experiment
The discussion moves towards what has happened to Jayden and the guy is willing to show us. We're all brought into a dark room with a huge window in one side of the room. The lights turn on in the room we see through the window, revealing Jayden sitting in a chair tied up and seemingly paralysed.
A person in surgeons outfit enters the room and starts performing surgery on Jaydens head. They remove a piece of his skull and insert a small device. We see Jayden cringe in a weird string of emotions going back and forth between extreme pain and euphoria. All the while Manon-Therese is trying to capture as much of this event as possible as something really documentary worthy is going on here.
At the same time I'm urging Rusty to open up a door or crack the window so we can free Jayden as those looks of pain on his face don't look too good. All of a sudden we receive a message from Jayden over out implants, revealing the same set of emotions. This is so incredibly out of this worldish, but also extremely frightening.
Then all of a sudden Jayden goes blank...
The guy, who's been explaining everything to us, breaths a sigh of disappointment. And mutters something about another failed experiment. He then leads us to the main hall again. Back there he gives us an ultimatum; Either we leave this place and tell our employers that there's nothing going on out here and all the missing farmers are just missing or we join there cause in their research for some kind of awesome cybernetic brain implant.
Gert then decides it's a good idea to start negotiating with this group responsible for murdering Jayden and apparently all the missing farmers who've undergone the same experiment.
A bit numbed by the situation I think we said we would just leave and don't tell anybody about what the hell this group is up too. My head is really messed up right now.
