Day 14
Thanks to Lirmyi's Fairy Fire the enemies were easy to see and I hit one several times with my warhammer. After that it sank like a stone. Meanwhile another one bit Arisys and I quickly smashed it with my warhammer. Stay away from Arisys! Soon after that all the creatures around our boat were dead, and the rest was also taken care of. Lirmyi and Naeris got their boat straight again and we continued rowing for 15 minutes until we found a spot were we could take a rest and Lirmyi and Naeris could dry a little.
We continued rowing for half an hour. The natural underground river wasn't straight, but I thought we were going North and North-West mostly. Then the small river ended in some kind of underground lake. There was some kind of platform on the right side with some humans standing on it who were wearing crab like armor with shells growing on it. Crushing Wave for sure! Arisys who was in front of the boat and had a good view also mentioned some fin above the water about 20 yards from us. One of the humans told us to turn around or die.
Before anyone else could answer Arisys gave her answer. A bolt hit the human just warning us in his shoulder. As a reaction we saw him jumping into the water, and 2 seconds later a Huge Shark came at us, with that human riding it! Also multiple arrows from the humans on the platform hit Arisys and she was knocked off our boat. Our party member in the other boats seemed scared as they quickly turned around and rowed away. Arisys didn't gave up and climbed into the boat and shot an arrow at the shark. I did turn the boat to get a better tactical position where the humans on the platform couldn't hit us. I took a defensive position to protect Arisys.
The there was a huge explosion, hitting almost all enemies. It turned out that Varaf wasn't scared and had learned a new spell, Fireball! This could really give us the edge we needed! But since our party members were rowing away, the human on the Shark replied with "And stay away!", and he and the dhark disappeared under water. I waited some longer to see if he didn't come back. And then decided to also row away, to catch up with the others. We couldn't handle these with the 2 of us.
We row back until we found a place to take a rest, and there it was decided that we would go back to the keep. While I knew we could handle them, there wasn't much reason to go there anyway, so I agreed. In the keep we noticed the stinking humanoids in the tower left and the keep was deserted. It was already night and there was a clear full moon. We closed the gate, got some beds in Grimjaw's main room, locked all doors there and barricaded the secret entrance. Arisys warmed the stew and he had dinner and went to sleep.
In the night, it must've been around midnight, I was awakened by Naeris. Seems that something had been in our room, the doors were smashed open. So I ran to the door and looked outside, I saw some large beasts running towards the stinking tower. Then I noticed it, the door wasn't smashed in towards the inside, it was smashed open from the inside. So how did they came inside? Meanwhile the others were also awake... at least the ones that were still there. Niamh and Lirmyi were missing! Maybe the beasts we saw took them? We found out the beast were in the stinking tower. So maybe they took them there. We carefully approached the tower, and when we went in, we saw 2 human bodies lying on the ground. It turned out to be Niamh and Lirmyi. They seemed tired, and couldn't remember anything about what happened. The beasts were gone. I told Niamh and Lirmyi to wash themselves, but they were even to tired for that.
Day 15
The next morning they washed themselves, and were saying that they felt stronger. They didn't look stronger, so not sure what happened to them. It was a strange night.
