Day 15 After Lirmyi and Niamh
returned from their washing session Lirmyi was showing us how strong he was.
Lifting his backpack with 1 arm! I never knew he was so weak before that he
couldn't do that. He also suddenly wanted to play on my Bagpipe. But Niamh
was more concerned. It seems that they got some kind of curse when Grimjaw
bit them, which turned them into boars at night! Niamh still had some
memories about what happened last night. Together with some help from our
herbalist experts Arisys and Varaf they came up with some herbs that could
maybe remove the curse. Varaf made some tea from it. When Niamh drank it
she screamed from the pain it gave her. But in the end she lost her
strength, and the curse was probably gone. Lirmyi had no intentions on
trying to get rid of it. He liked to be half boar it seemed, and he didn't
seem worried about the people he might hurt when he would transform into a
wild boar at night. I just proposed to tie him hands every night, just to
be safe. We left for Red Larch, because Grimjaw's head would start
smelling more the longer we waited. During the night Lirmyi luckely didn't
change much, he only got some hairs on his chin. Guess it was wise of him
to keep the curse, if he could grow a beard that way! It could be that the
full transformation would only happen with full moon. Day 16-21 In Red Larch we went to the
Half-Orc that gave us the promised 150 gold for the head. I also asked
around for Plate armor, but that would take at least a month to craft. So I
went for Splint armor, which still would be better than the chainmail I was
wearing. In 5 days it would be ready. Niamh and Varaf arranged some
Studded Leather armor. We went through the options for what to do next, and
if we wanted to go to the Druids of the "Circle of the Scarlet Moon" ritual it would be the best not to try to
go somehere else first. So I convinced the rest to spend 5 days in town, so
my armor would be ready. Day 22
Then we left into the hills again, towards the Druids. When we were
getting closer, there was some weird fog everywhere, and Niamh heard some
wolf-like sounds in the distance. We found an open area, and took a
defensive position, since the sound got closer. Then we saw 3 big wolfs
with a fiery glow from their mouth. This were no normal wolfs. While the
ran towards us, our arrows and spells hit them, and soon I knocked the last
one down before it could bite me.
We then walked for a few more hours and found a tower, with in front of
it a big burning wicker giant. Around it were a lot of tents and smaller
fires. We went to a group of people around such a fire and it turned out
they came for the ritual that would take place tomorrow. Then we went
closer to the tower and met 2 guys that started smelling us. They told
Lirmyi he was one of them. Maybe they were also Wereboars and could help
Lirmyi control it! But for some reason I insulted them and we quickly
continued to the tower. There we could talk to the Druid leader and see how
we could help solving this inbalance.
When we entered the wall around the tower we saw 2 people standing around
the burning wicker giant. But before we knew it one of the started to tell
the burning wicker giant to rise, and the other blasted a fireball towards
us! 2 burning dogs also appeared and the fight started!
