The Liberation of Pelycor

September 17, 21 Years After the Departure (Atd)
Unfortunately, during the night it became clear that the Sinister
Operatives had failed to enter the city. All but Tharen were returning
– so apparently Tharen had made it in?
Boulder decided to press on anyway. He appointed the sole dwarf
of the Operatives, Strolick Axecrusher as their leader. And then
we attacked!
The first day was a day of heavy battles, but we did manage to
drive a lot of Greyskins back. We sure had them trapped. Later we
learned that Tharen managed to kill a lot of guards inside as well.
On the morning of the second day, a delegation consisiting of 3
greyskins and a human, waving a white flag, walked our way through
the gates. Boulder, along with Soniah, Galthar and myself went to
meet them.
The human named himself “Withington”, and told us that he was
only there because he spoke a bit of Smokt and helped the Greyskins to
translate. Then he told us that the Greyskins would rather surrender
than die. They had come to negotiate the terms.
This took us a bit off guard. We had not counted on taking
prisoners, and if we let the Greyskins stay in the city we had
not succeeded in our goal. In the end, despite Soniah being very
much against it, Boulder decided that the Greyskins were to leave
southwards, after being stripped of all their weapons.
The Greyskins accepted this offer (pretty quickly, I think). So
we proceeded to enter the city. We rounded up all Greyskins, and soon
a huge pile of weapons was gathered on the market. We made sure that
the Greyskins who left really went south by sending a few scouts to
check along the way.
Then it was time to decide what to do next. We would have to free
Carnthor as well, per our alliance with the Elves. The question was:
how?
